形態特徵

• Rhizome short, densely tufted. Culms, erect, slender, 10-70 cm tall, 0.5-0.7 mm thick, obtusely trigonous.
• Leaves few to a culm, rather short; blades slenderly linear, 0.5-1.2 mm wide, flattish to slightly incurved-margined, soft; sheaths tightly surrounding culm-base, white membranaceous on ventral side, basal sheaths scale-like, dark brown.
• Inflorescence of a single terminal spike; spike head-like, androgynous, ellipsoid, 5-12 mm long, short linear staminate part 1-2 mm wide, 3- to 6-flowered, pistillate part 3-6 mm long, 3-5 mm wide, subdensely 6- to 10-flowered.
• Pistillate glumes ovate to ovate-elliptic, 2-2.5 mm long, obtuse at apex, brown, white hyaline on margins and at apex. Utricles patent, surpassing glume, slightly recurved at maturity, 2.5-4 mm long, light green, prominently 2-costate, few-nerved on both sides of costae, obtuse at base, beak short, orifice emarginate. Achenes loosely contained, ovate, trigonous, 1.5-2 mm long; style slender; stigmas 3.

分布

• 台灣 : in grassy swamp, only known from the cited location.
• 世界 : The Himalaya, China, Japan, southeastern Asia and Australia.
